Many customers have questions about how to keep a split king adjustable bed together. There are a number of different ways to do this. The heavier the adjustable bed, the easier it is for the adjustable bed to stay together, and it will also depend on which adjustable bed you have. Below, we will list some ways to help keep the bases together.
Double Sided Velcro TapeDouble-sided Velcro tape has a sticky side on the bottom and Velcro on the top. The Velcro helps keep the mattresses together because it makes the cover harder to slide, which provides better stability.
StrapsStraps can be used to keep the bases together. The purpose of the straps is to secure the legs, preventing the bases from moving. This helps keep the bases from shifting or separating.
How Different Adjustable Bed Models MatterEach adjustable bed has a different weight and way of keeping the bases together. More cost-effective bases tend to be very lightweight, which makes them move more easily. For this reason, we generally do not prefer many of the budget-friendly models. However, there are a few affordable options, such as the Kingship Comfort brand, that make excellent bases which do not slide. In general, the heavier the base, the less likely it is to move the bases. There are also different ways to keep the mattress in place on an adjustable bed, such as mattress retainer bars. Some bases do not require a mattress retainer bar, but we always recommend using one for extra stability.
